The clinical team
Carefully selected.
Personally trained.
Boutique Psychotherapy is intentionally small.
Every clinician is selected under the clinical direction of Dr. Carli Blau and trained in the philosophy and clinical framework of The Blau Methodâ„¢.
How matching works
The right clinician,
not the next available one.
When you reach out, you’ll speak with our clinical coordinator about what you are looking for.
We’ll match you with the clinician best suited to your goals, whether that is individual therapy, couples therapy or sex therapy.
Every clinician practices under the clinical direction of Dr. Carli Blau, founder of Boutique Psychotherapy and creator of The Blau Methodâ„¢.
Featured clinician
Lucia Rodriguez-Nelson
Warm, direct and goal-oriented, Lucia works with individuals and couples who have already done real work on themselves and are ready for change, not just more insight.
Areas of focus
Sex therapy, desire discrepancy, pain during sex, body image and confidence, relationships, codependency and attachment, women’s health, and eating disorder recovery beyond acute treatment.
A specialty often overlooked
Lucia works with clients who are past crisis but not yet free: no longer in acute treatment, still working toward a steadier relationship with their body. That includes athletes and active people balancing fitness goals with staying well, and the ways body image shows up in intimacy.
Training
MSW in Advanced Clinical Practice, Columbia University. Trained in The Blau Methodâ„¢, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic, psychodynamic and relational approaches. Trauma-informed.
Sessions available in English and Spanish.
LCSW, PhD, MEd

She holds a PhD in clinical sex therapy and is a licensed clinical social worker with more than a decade of experience in sex, intimacy and couples therapy. She has a particular interest in how technology is reshaping modern relationships, and is the author of Dating and Mating in a Techno-Driven World.

Grounded, direct and relational, Jessica helps individuals and couples move beyond insight into meaningful change.
A licensed marriage and family therapist, certified sex therapist and certified financial therapist, she focuses on communication, intimacy, emotional safety and connection, including the ways power, money and personal narratives shape relationships. Her approach is attachment-informed, systems-based and solution-focused.
LMSW
Kimberlin Shepard
Direct and compassionate, Kimberlin challenges clients while making sure they feel supported.
She works with individuals and couples on body image, self-esteem, dating and relationship stress, infidelity, anxiety and life transitions, including pre-marital and marital concerns.
