Lucia Rodriguez-Nelson
CLINICAL APPROACH
Lucia works with individuals and couples on sex therapy, relationship issues, women's health, and long-term eating disorder recovery.
Her style is warm, direct, and goal-oriented. She offers support with confidence, body image, desire discrepancies, vaginal pain during sex, codependency and attachment issues, and how to thrive with changes made in therapy, not only insights.
Lucia also works with clients further into eating disorder recovery, past crisis, no longer in acute treatment, but not fully free either. This population is often overlooked: not sick enough for more treatment, not done enough to stop thinking about it. She helps clients build a steadier relationship with their body, including athletes and active people caught between their fitness goals and staying recovered. This work regularly intersects with sex therapy, since body image doesn't stay contained to one part of life. How a person relates to their body in recovery often shows up directly in how they relate to it in bed.
Her clients tend to be high-functioning adults who've already done real work on themselves. They're not looking for more insight. They're looking for change.
